Lawrenceburg Rotary Club Named Club of Year

The Lawrenceburg Rotary Club was named the Club of the Year in District 6760 in the large club category at the District Conference in Jackson, Tennessee April 29 through May 1, 2010. Rotary District 6760 is comprised of 63 Rotary clubs in Middle Tennessee, including Nashville, and West Tennessee, excluding Shelby County.
In addition to the Club of the Year Award, the Lawrenceburg Club received the award for the Best International Project for the club's on-going project in Honduras.
The club also received the Significant Achievement Award for the Four Avenues of Service; the Rotary International President's Citation; the Star Club Award, which denotes a donation of $100 per club member to the Rotary Foundation; the Club Attendance Award, for the highest attendance rate in the district (84.7% attendance rate); and the District Conference Attendance Award, for 24 club members attending the District Conference.

Rotarian Neal Beard received the Rotary International Service Above Self Award for his work with the Honduras Project. Lawrenceburg President Jack Grinnell received a special District Governor's Award from District Governor Gary Benmark for his service to District 6760.
