Times to Open or Download PDF Documents

PDF Documents on the Rotary Club of Lawrenceburg Tennessee Website range in size from a few thousand characters to a few million characters. The Fair Catalog averages about one million characters in size and can take several minutes to open or download to your computer using dial up Internet access. Be prepared to wait 10 - 15 minutes if you are using a dial up modem connection...and we are serious about the wait time.

Hints About Using the Fair Catalog

The Fair Catalog has been divided into sections to reduce individual download times.  A partial description of section contents is listed beside each link.  Chances are good that you will be able to download only the section you need.

Consider pointing at the Fair Catalog and clicking the "right" mouse button or the "top" button if you use a trackball. Then click the "Save Target As..." choice in the hidden popup menu - well it was hidden until you right or top button clicked. Select a directory location on your computer in which to save the file. After the download is complete, you can then open the chosen document over and over without having to download the file over the Internet.

You can print the entire Fair Schedule on your printer or you can print individual or ranges of pages from the Fair Schedule. If all you want is an "entry form" that is shown on a single page, then just print that 1 page to save your ink or toner!

However, if your parent or parents (like mine) doesn't have a computer and aren't ever going to have a computer, then just make certain your printer has plenty of ink or toner and print them a complete copy of the Fair Schedule! You can claim it was a Mother or Father's Day Gift or something...

I Can't Open the Document!!!

If you have gone to all the trouble of downloading the Fair Schedule and then can't open the document, you may not have the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. Don't fret, it's a free download from the Adobe Website. Just click on the icon below to start the download and install process. Again, if you are using a dial up connection to the Internet, this could be a 1 or 2 nap experience...

I Still Can't Open the Document!!!

Some things aren't meant to be! Just forget the Fair Schedule Document and buy a pass for the week which is a lot cheaper than contacting your local computer guru and less embarrassing than asking your 6 year old niece to help you!!!

Regardless of how it works out - enjoy the Middle Tennessee District Fair!!!
