Rotary Club Sponsors Group Study Exchange Team Member

The Lawrenceburg Rotary Club hosted 2010 Group Study Exchange (GSE) Team Member Sarah Bellos at its October 23, 2009 meeting. The Club is sponsoring Ms. Bellos for the GSE trip to Turkey in May of 2010. The Turkish GSE Team will be visiting Rotary District 6760 in April of 2010. The Club presented Ms. Bellos with a check for $250 to defray the cost of registration for the GSE trip.
The Rotary Foundation’s Group Study Exchange (GSE) program is a unique cultural and vocational exchange opportunity for young businesspeople and professionals between the ages of 25 and 40. The program provides travel grants for teams to exchange visits in paired areas of different countries. For four weeks, the team members live in the homes of Rotarians and tour the district. GSE Team members experience the host country's culture and institutions, observe how their personal vocations are practiced abroad, develop personal and professional relationships, and exchange ideas.
