The MTDF Junk Car Jump and Run will be a side by side elimination race on an obstacle course set up in the arena.  The goal is for drivers to find an inexpensive vehicle (the cheaper the better as long as it runs loud and good), put on a great show, have fun, and maybe bring home some cash.

Entry Fee is $50.00 which includes one pit pass.  Additional pit passes are $20.00.

Entries will be accepted at the pit gate.   The pit gate will close at 6:00 pm and no entries will be accepted after that time

Drivers 18 years of age or older must have and present, upon request, a valid state driver’s license. Any driver age 16 or above but not having yet reached his or her 18th birthday MUST present, prior to participation, a notarized Minor's Release and Consent Form signed by BOTH parents and/or legal guardians. No one under 16 years of age may participate as a driver.

Vehicles must be STOCK automobiles in the cars only class with vans and wagons allowed in the open competition, however removal of mufflers is encouraged !  If you or your spouse has never driven anything like it to Piggly Wiggly, Sears, or Wal~Mart; chances are that it is not stock.

Snow Tires may be installed on the drive axle only.  NO STUDDED TIRES ARE ALLOWED.

Driver must wear DOT approved helmet.

Eye protection (goggles or helmet shield) is required.

Driver must wear seat belt when on the track.

No riders allowed.

Since cars will run two at a time, only one driver per car--no substitutions.

Running order and first heat lane assignment will be determined by draw at time of registration.

Everything will run in a single class.  Four, six, and eight cylinder cars will run together and cars of different sizes will run together.  The number of rounds will be determined by the number of entries received. To the extent possible, entries with similar engine sizes will be grouped together in the early rounds.

You will be running a course where skill, cunning, and finesse will overcome brute force and power!
