A Message from the Club President

Thank you for visiting the Lawrenceburg Rotary Club's website.  Our club has a long tradition of service in our community and a strong committment to the ideals of Rotary.  As you browse our website,  I hope you will agree that Lawrenceburg Rotary has developed programs that address needs in our own community, while extending our horizon of service through active participation in Rotary International programs.  We have truely become a balanced club, and I am honored to be serving as your Club President in this, our 60th Anniversary Year.

In 2007-2008, I have focused on consolidating the programs that resulted in Lawrenceburg being named The Most Outstanding Club in District 6760 in the previous Rotary year. Our newer Rotarians have broadened their involvement in "behind the scenes" club operations, and many are showing great promise as future club leaders. The advice and support from many of our senior Rotarians has been extremely helpful and much appreciated.  

Our membership recruitment has been excellent so far this year, and I am excited about our prospects for the near and long term future.  This year's Middle Tennessee District Fair was named State Champion in the Tn. Dept. of Agrictulture's highly competitive AA Division.  Our club has become the lead club in the Honduras project, and we have exceeded our Rotary Foundation giving goal.  By far, the most gratifying part of this year has been the renewal of spirit, integrity, and mutual support that has made our club one of the finest and most respected service organizations in our community.  We are active, effective, and we are having fun in the process.

We have achieved great things so far this year, and I am confident that more great things are yet to come.  Let's continue working enthusiastically and having fun together as we Share Rotary in the coming months.
