American Cancer Society's Relay for Life

Kathy Sleeth, Community Representative for the Nashville Office of the American Cancer Society, was the guest speaker at the August 7, 2009 meeting of the Lawrenceburg Rotary Club. Ms. Sleeth reminded the club of the up-coming Relay for Life rally on Saturday August 8 at 6:00 PM in Rotary Park and invited everyone to participate in the event.
Relay for Life is celebrating its Twenty-fifth anniversary this year. This year's theme is "Celebrate. Remember. Fight Back." Ms. Sleeth explained we should celebrate the survivors of cancer; we should remember those lost to cancer; and we should fight back by raising funds for research to eliminate cancer. She then presented a short video on the history of the Relay for Life Rally.
