Tenn Dept of Agriculture's Webster Addresses Rotary Club

Bruce Webster, Tennessee Department of Agriculture-Forestry Division, was the guest speaker at the February 6, 2009 meeting of the Lawrenceburg Rotary Club. Webster conducted a question-&-answer session on forestry with the club.
Webster is with the Urban Forestry division of the Department of Agriculture. The Rotary Club received a grant of $14,000 from the Urban Forestry division in 2008 to plant 100 trees and shrubs in Rotary Park. The Rotary Club contributed a match of $14,000 for the project. State funds for the grant came from the increase in the tobacco tax passed Govenor Phil Bredesen and the Tennessee legislature.
